DRAMA UNIT TO INTRODUCE PICTURE PLAY MAGAZINE

After Abobaku, many Bowenites have anticipated the next movie by the drama unit of the school, first semester ran out with no sign of a movie in the making and now that second semester is underway, i was expecting a movie, but this revelation kinda broke my heart. 
So for some days now, i have noticed some set of students with Photolounge(Pitan) and Joshua the drama cord, one would have expected to see a video camera and other film making equipments but all i saw was a camera, it then clicked, a picture play book is in the making.
The photo shoot went for four days(Thursday to Sunday). Intel revealed that the photo shoot was done with faith as the drama unit needs a huge sum of money to materialize the act, lets say about 250k.
We will keep our fingers crossed as to know if they will be able to raise the money and produce the play book, I pray they do.

GET RICH OR DELIVERED TRYING

I'm sure not most students have heard this gist, took me a while to get my little facts together.
yahoo plus is a conventional thing among youths nowadays, and i have never ruled out the fact that some guys in this school are into the shitty business, even though its hard to express yourself financially in Bowen..
A 200level Mass communication guy whose name I will suppress for now has been reported to have done yahoo plus over the course of the semester break, the guy resumed school 300million naira richer.
The deed was done by scientists for 50,000naira which he borrowed from a friend, also in Mass comm he promised to give the friend 3million naira once the deal cuts through.
The problem started when he started communicating with spirits at the middle of the night, his roommates noticing it was more than sleep talking had to inform the chaplains. the yahoo plus guy was then taken to the chaplains house to be delivered.
we haven't heard the last of this story, i will keep my nose on the ground for updates and get in touch with you later.

I stumbled on this link, and on opening saw a list of award nominees from universities in Oyo, Osun and Kwara. The universities involved are: Bowen University , University of Ibadan, Lead City University, UniOsun, Obafemi Awolowo University, , Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oduduwa University, Ife, Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho (LAUTECH) and University of Ilorin.

300L student gets instant job

Wow: New Horizon genius gets immediate employment from New Horizons MD.
Ekpe Samuel a CIT student scored a 100% in his new horizons exam and was given a mini notebook and a direct  job offer after his degree in Bowen with 20,000 dollars per annum, that's 3.2million naira a year . All hail Bowen's BBSF Libarian and latest software engineer in town "Samuel Ekpe"

What a BANCEful evening of football

After about 20 years, Nigeria finally wins the much coveted Nations cup, it’s unfortunate every citizen couldn’t witness this historic achievement live in South Africa , what is fortunate is relieving the experience live here in Bowen. cafeterias were buzzing with chants, noise, claps, every dribble, every interception had a swift reaction from the audience, the only thing missing was the German wave. The environment was as electric as the stadium itself,

Evening chapel had been earlier shifted to 6pm to allow students watch the football match, the only time the school shifts chapel time is when there is another spiritual or chapel programme, say Christmas carol or revival, so I see no reason why Nigeria should have lost anyways, the BBSF was on their side.

LET'S GET THIS STARTED

We have seen the windup of what is uncontestably the longest semester in Bowen (4months) as second semester now goes underway. The lift of ban on camera phone has been the best decision the school has made in a century and it was one of the motivating factors that brought about the idea of a Bowen campus blog site.

This blog is aimed as informing and empowering students about stuff going on in the school, we know how much you like amebo and since your signal cannot pick up every action, we have decided to help you out.  This blog will provide news, gossips, gist, fashion, and pictures from campus, so don’t be surprised if you see or read about yourself

Last semester saw a lot of jaw breaking moments, is it the gbagauns by our chaplains, the tenth anniversary celebration, departmental games, matriculation and convocation, Aunty Nike’s story, the security man that got beat, the lift of ban on camera phones, Seyi law in Bowen, the infamous suspension of the school’s main organist,  and many others.

This new semester promises to produce more nerve racking moments, departmental rallies, dinners, final year week, applause football competition, valentine’s day are some significant events that we expect, and of course the unforeseen funny tales we expect to pick along the line. So if you don’t want to be missing out on anything fun, you just have to check this blog site from time to time.
