I'm sure this news has spread by now, NO CHAPEL SERVICE TOMORROW. This will be the first time in Bowen's history that chapel service will be cancelled. i don't know the real source, i didn't see any memo, i didn't call the VC, i just know there is no chapel tomorrow, if you don't believe, just chill till tomorrow morning. But what this school as turned us into tho, see students jubilating and all, when Nigeria won Nations cup sef the jubilation wasn't much

AND THE NEW VC IS...........

Professor Mathew A. Ojo, freshers and stalites should get used to that name cos that is the next VC of Bowen university.
Prof Mattew or Ojo (whichever way he will like to be called) has lectured at Obafemi Awolowo University for 31 years, he is the HOD of the Department of Religious studies. His qualifications expalins why he is the next VC, he has  a bachelor of arts degree, master of arts, master of science all from OAU, he got his PhD from London and finalized his degrees with a diploma in management studies also from OAU.
His areas of specialization are African Christianity, Sociology of Religion, Religion and the Media, and Theory and Methods of Religion.
 As we can all see his area of specialisation has to do with religion, so don't expect any changes regarding chapel. but I'm sure he will do good

Rumour has it that the major banners to be displayed at the basketball court and SMS were transported into the school in the early hours of Sunday while some people were kneeling down ;)

i know you guys expected me to post the pictures of students kneeling down in front of chapel on Sunday morning, i was tempted to but i thought of all the school fees i have paid all join, and my fellow students trust me when i say it is sweeter to blog in school than register for Jamb at home, it is also better to kneel down in school than to relax at home. at least the news is all over now, so nobody missed anything

FUN GONE WRONG

I know it's been a while, but you can't really blame me, blame the university for being boring. Now that departmental week celebrations are here, we hope to get juicy gists, dinner and rally pictures.
Having said that, an accident or lemme say incident occured three days ago, some guys were coming back from Iwo township where they they went to have fun and in an attempt to jump the fence back into school, one of the guys,Olumide broke his thigh bone. he was saved by some porters and rushed to the school clinic, they couldnt help and his case was referred to a standard hospital.
As you read this now, Olumide is in UCH and he needs your prayers and support, we hope he recovers soon.
